Lowland Whisky
The Lowlands lie south of the Greenock–Dundee line and are known for the lightest style of Scotch: grassy, citrusy, with notes of fresh hay and cereal. Several distilleries here keep the triple-distillation tradition alive. Auchentoshan, Glenkinchie and Bladnoch are the classics; Ailsa Bay and Daftmill represent the new wave.
