The company in brief
Elixir Distillers (until 2017 Speciality Drinks) is an independent Scotch bottler and brand owner founded by brothers Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh — creators of the cult shop The Whisky Exchange (1999). For most of its history the firm did not distil; instead it built its name on selecting outstanding casks from Scotland's distilleries and bottling them under its own brands.

- Port Askaig — a peaty Islay mystery malt (heart: Caol Ila).
- Elements of Islay — a minimalist range of peated Islay single malts (distillery letter codes).
- Single Malts of Scotland — casks from across Scotland, often cask strength.
- The Whisky Trail / Reserve Casks — collectible, rare vintages.
Every release keeps craft standards: natural colour, non-chill-filtration and a raised strength. Since 2021 the company has been building its own Portintruan distillery on Islay — a move from bottler to producer.
Timeline
- 1999 Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh launch The Whisky Exchange shop.
- 2005 Speciality Drinks is formed — independent bottling and the first brands.
- 2009 Port Askaig debuts — the flagship Islay peated single malt brand.
- 2017 The bottling business rebrands as Elixir Distillers.
- 2021 Construction of the company's own Portintruan distillery on Islay begins.
